There are still changes in the village, as in any village.
there has been some building work, deteriation to some of the small roads and paths but also improvements,
Mareham now has a village green, on the site which had historically been the green, according to 1891 maps.
Documents show that the right to hold a market there,on the feast day of St.Dennis. had been granted by King

The Acquisition of the green has been brought about by hard work and fund raising by the village hall committee
over several years

The Bowls club now has a new bowling green, which will be a great improvement on the lawn where they did play

The Royal Oak is now closed down.

The silver band is still entertaining after almost a hundred years
The football club are still going strong and Mareham-le-fen now has its own monthly news paper, free to residents .

As yet we have no traffic lights in the village which is becoming a unique feature in lincolnshire although we do have speed bumps on one of the new housing estates and speed check warning on entry to the village on the main road .

Phipps The butcher has ceased trading, Goslings garage is no longer trading, leaving the village without a garage or fuel vender

Hansons is now the only butcher in the village
